My Device for WCOB Banner

This device is being made as part of the WCOB Banner Project. I have finally been able to start working on my device since it has now been officially approved.

The device came as part of a kit. The device was already drawn on the silk and mounted on the backing fabric. I also received printed instructions. I just have to supply the thread (Maderia silk).

This is much bigger than real life. This shield is only about 3cm in size. I am working it with a single strand of Maderia silk using an very fine needle. I have to use a magnifying light to work this. The above picture shows about 2 hrs work.

Did another 2 hours on the banner, here it is at 4 hours work. Really have to ration the time spent on this type of work, my eyes got very sore.

I did another 3 hours tonight and managed to get it finished. I thought it would only take me about 4 hours, since it's smaller than the other ones I've done, but still fiddly.
